Child تربیہ is one of the most important responsibilities of parents and one of the fundamental foundations of a healthy society. Islam does not regard تربیہ as merely the transmission of religious information; rather, it seeks to develop faith, character, emotional balance, social responsibility, self-discipline, and moral consciousness in the child. The life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ provides a practical and comprehensive model of child تربیہ in which affection, respect, gradual instruction, dialogue, encouragement, correction, justice, and consideration of individual differences are clearly reflected. This study examines selected principles of child تربیہ from the Prophetic Seerah and analyzes their psychological dimensions in the light of contemporary understanding of child development. The study argues that Prophetic تربیہ was not based on fear, excessive control, or constant criticism; rather, it created an environment of emotional security, trust, belonging, and moral development. Prophetic practices such as showing affection, listening to children, addressing them respectfully, giving them responsibility, correcting mistakes without humiliation, and considering their developmental stage have significant relevance to contemporary child psychology. The study concludes that the Prophetic model offers a balanced تربیتی framework in which spiritual development and psychological well-being are not separate objectives but mutually reinforcing dimensions of human development.
