This study examines stylistics as a linguistic and critical approach concerned with the analysis of the expressive features of texts. It traces the emergence of stylistics within modern Western thought and its development through various linguistic and critical schools, while also revealing its deep roots in the Arabic rhetorical tradition. The study further seeks to classify the major types of stylistics and to demonstrate the possibilities of applying them to the analysis of Arabic texts, with particular emphasis on the Qur’anic text and literary discourse. Methodologically, the study adopts a descriptive–analytical approach, drawing on contemporary Arabic scholarship, classical rhetorical sources, and a limited number of foundational Western references. As an applied model, the research focuses on the story of Moses and Aaron (peace be upon them) in the Holy Qur’an, highlighting the effectiveness of stylistic analysis in uncovering the semantic, rhetorical, and aesthetic dimensions of the Qur’anic discourse.
