The Life and Literary Legacy of Dr. Abdul Rahman Rafat Al-Basha

Abstract

The study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of Dr. Abdul Rahman Rafat Al-Basha’s personality and his diverse writings. The primary objective is to elucidate his literary character and to explore his precious contributions to Arabic Literature.

The research adopts the descriptive approach to describe the stages of Dr. Abdul Rahman Rafat Al-Basha’s life (birth, upbringing, education, professional career, death) and analytical approach to classify his publications according to a four-part division that includes: publications from his lifetime, posthumous publications, works integrated into formal educational curricula, and works that remain unpublished.

The study identifies a unifying objective across Dr. Abdul Rahman Rafat Al-Basha’s works: the revival of Islamic heroism, the moral guidance of youth, and the reinforcement of Islamic values. The incorporation of his texts into formal educational curricula attests to his significant scholarly influence.

Based on the recommendations, this study proposes a four-part initiative: publish Dr. Abdul Rahman Rafat Al-Basha’s remaining works, conduct deeper studies of his Islamic and intellectual thinking, incorporate his other work into academic curricula, and organize scholarly seminars to introduce his ideas to new generations.
