The science of Qur'anic readings, both canonical (mutawātir) and irregular (shādh), is considered fundamental to understanding the Holy Qur'an. This is due to their rich and diverse meanings and their significant role in helping us better grasp the Qur'an's objectives and purposes, thereby broadening the methods by which we can interpret its verses.
While canonical readings have received extensive investigation from researchers, irregular readings are often overlooked or their importance minimized in understanding Qur'anic content, particularly in the fields of theology and the unseen matters (al-sam‘iyyāt). Therefore, there is a confirmed need for a systematic study that highlights the epistemic contribution of irregular readings and clarifies their role in this context.
This study aims to explore how irregular readings contribute to clarifying and elucidating theological issues related to the unseen
