Footnotes of Shaikh ul Hind Mahmood Hasan on Mukhtasar Ul Ma,aani by Taftazaani (Descriptive Study)

Abstract

Muslims around the globe keep trying to enhance their knowledge about Islam as well as they feel honored to serve their religion. Writing useful content is the basic and eternal way of serving Islam. Therefore, many eminent scholars wrote about Arabic and Islamic Studies to spread Islamic knowledge. Shaikh Mahmood Hasan (D.1339 H) is one of them. He served Islam and Islamic Education in many ways. In this article, we are only focusing on a footnote he wrote about a famous Arabic Rhetoric Book named Mukhtasar Al Ma'ani by renowned Muslim Scholar Allama Saad ud Din Al Taftazani (D.792H).
This footnote is a very rare and valuable work by a scholar from subcontinent. Although his educational work is famous in this region, but it is much needed to introduce the important and great treasures of Islamic knowledge to the Arab and Islamic World. My article will also try to cover up this aspect and methodology used by Shaikh Mahmood Hasan in his footnote on the said book.
