Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has left an indelible mark on global societies, reshaping economies, social structures, and human interactions. This article explores how Arabic poetry, as a profound cultural and artistic medium, has mirrored the multifaceted impacts of the pandemic on Arab societies. Through the lens of poetry, the article delves into the socio-economic upheavals caused by the pandemic, including the collapse of international trade, rising unemployment, and the shift to remote education. It also examines the emotional and psychological toll of isolation, fear, and loss, as articulated by poets who captured the collective human experience during these unprecedented times. By analyzing selected poems, the article highlights how Arabic literature has not only documented the crisis but also provided a space for resilience, hope, and solidarity. Ultimately, this study underscores the enduring role of poetry in reflecting societal transformations and preserving the human spirit amidst adversity.
