Abstract

Islam is a universal religion that is a guide for all mankind until the Day of Judgment. It offers the best solution to all aspects of life that arise in every era, the foundations of which are before us in the form of the Quran and Hadith. Allah created man for His service and created the world and everything in it for the benefit of mankind and adorned it with various creatures. Islamic law provides principles not only for humans but also for animals because animals are indispensable to humans in fulfilling their needs. Therefore, just as the persecution of humans has been declared a crime, cruelty to animals is a religious sin. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has commanded kindness towards animals and considers it a reward, while cruelty and violence towards them is a sin. This research article explains the role and importance of animals in human life and their rights considering Islamic teachings, especially the commandments of the Holy Prophet.
