Abstract

This research paper aims to highlight the contribution of Nabil Farouk in the field of science fiction. Besides, we will analyze his science fiction series “Future Files”. Science fiction is one of the most creative genres in literature and often called "the literature of ideas." Science fiction novels take readers on adventures from faraway galaxies to underwater worlds and everywhere in between. These novels tell us about the science and technology of the future and deal principally with the impact of actual or imagined science on society or individuals. Science fiction writers regularly use the imaginary world as a vehicle for exploring the more complex issues of our present-day Earth. Nabil Farouk is also one of them. He is one of the most influential science fiction writers. Because of his great influence on the development of the genre. Although his fiction covers a broad span of themes, in his early works, which belong to the genre of science fiction, the recurring themes are science and scientists. He is the author of more than one hundred novels, and he has written many fiction series. The Future File is one of his most famous science fiction series of novels. This work became famous in cultural circles as well as in public circles and occupied a great place in the hearts of young people and adults for their love of science fiction. This research paper consists of a preface, three chapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter will provide the definition of science fiction, its concepts and terminologies. In the second chapter, we will discuss Nabil Farouk, his life and his contribution in the field of science fiction. The third chapter will analyze the first science fiction series of Nabil Farouk “The Future Files.”
