Abstract

This paper analyses one of Safia Al-Daghim's recently published poem, intertextuality is evident through references to both the Quran and classical Arabic poetry. The poet weave’s Quranic themes, such as justice, and human struggle, into the fabric of her verses, echoing the sacred text’s moral and spiritual messages. Additionally, echoes of pre-Islamic and classical Arab poetry enrich her work, especially in the use of metaphors, imagery, and themes of love, loss, and resilience. These references create a complex dialogue between religious and literary traditions, reflecting how Al-Daghim blends the sacred and the poetic to address contemporary issues. The poem serves as a bridge between the past and present, offering new interpretations of familiar themes. I am using Analytical critical approach for this purpose.
