The Arabic language significantly influenced Sindhi poetry, especially when Arabians ruled over Sindh between 715 and 1050 CE. The arrival of the Arabs and their rich culture and civilization profoundly affected the region. Because of this, there are many similarities between the Arabic and Sindhi languages, especially in their writing styles, which employ the Naskh script.
Sindhi was used for one of the first translations of the Holy Quran on the subcontinent, demonstrating the close linguistic ties between the two languages. Arabic had an immense impact on Sindhi, not just on vocabulary but also on the structure and style of Sindhi poetry. This study examines how Arabic inspired the works of prominent and renowned Sindhi poets. Through an analysis of their poetry, the study demonstrates the linguistic and cultural interchange between Arabic and Sindhi, highlighting Arabic's long-lasting influence on Sindhi literature.
