Abstract
This research aims to uncover women's literary experiences in the Ottoman era and shed light on the poetic themes they addressed in their literature, by focusing on the poetic models of a group of women writers of this era who sought to achieve the correct representation of their experiences and express their identity in ways that go beyond traditional formulas and prevailing literary models. She also focused on issues such as equality, feminist rights, and economic and social liberation.
In fact, women in this era were not living on the margins, as some books and studies show, but rather women in general and poets in particular enjoyed a high status, as they frequented public places and participated in social, cultural and economic life. In the field we are studying, there are more than fifty female poets and writers, which constitutes more than five percent of the poets of the Ottoman era.
This research will deal with a study of poetic themes that best express the women's literary movement in this era by women poets from different social classes, such as Zainab al-Shahariya, Mehr Khatun, Fatima bint Mahmoud, and others.
