Islam is a complete code of life, providing guidance and instructions for all aspects of lifespan. This guidance encompasses not only moral and spiritual directives but also clear instructions regarding social life. A crucial part of social life is a person's economic affairs. A significant portion of life is spent in the pursuit of livelihood. From morning to evening and evening to morning, the primary concern is fulfilling the necessities, for which money and wealth are required. If a person has the wealth to live comfortably, his life is largely free from worries. Conversely, if wealth and resources are lacking, life becomes filled with complications, to the extent that fulfilling religious obligations becomes extremely difficult and sometimes even impossible. This is why the Holy Quran, not only commands the performance of worship and mentions the dos and don'ts but also, considering human needs, acknowledges the necessity and importance of wealth and resources. This is because a person can fulfill their spiritual and moral obligations only when their financial situation is stable. This article is an effort to highlight Islamic teachings regarding the pursuit of livelihood. Qualitative method has been employed in this article.
