Abstract

Orientalists and atheists continue to object to Islamic sciences from various aspects to weaken Islam. In this context, their objections to the biography of the Prophet ﷺ  are many, one of which is that according to the narrations of the Holy Biography, both Hazrat Abdul Muttalib and his son Hazrat Abdullah were married in the same gathering, as a result of which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was born in Hazrat Abdullah's home while Hazrat Hamza was born in Abdul Muttalib's house. According to narrations, Hazrat Amina got pregnant soon after marriage. According to this calculation, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ may be the same age as Hazrat Hamza or older than him, while the narrations of the Holy Biography have the reverse that Hazrat Hamza was two or four years older than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Now how is that possible? On this basis, the Orientalists point to the character and chastity of Hazrat Amina and the pure lineage of the Prophet ﷺ and say that if the normal period of pregnancy is nine months, Hazrat Amina's pregnancy should be three years after the death of Hazrat Abdullah. By saying this, they try to cast doubt on the blessed lineage of the Prophet. The fact is that the marriage of Hazrat Abdullah and Hazrat Abdul Muttalib did not take place in the same gathering. Even if it is assumed that it took place in the same gathering, it does not necessarily follow that the intercourse also took place at the same time. It is possible that Hazrat Abdullah had intercourse after such a long time, due to which there was a difference of four or two years between the ages. Even if it is accepted that the marriage and intercourse of both took place at the same time, then there may be a difference of years between the ages and it is such that according to some narrations, Hazrat Amina's first pregnancy was aborted and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was born from the second pregnancy. In short, the Orientalists have tried to get the desired results instead of investigating the traditions, which is considered treason in the academic world.
