Abstract

Derivation in the Arabic language is the process of extracting new words from their roots or origins. Derivation is considered an important part of the science of the Arabic language and reflects the richness and diversity of this language. In derivation, new words are produced by adding prefixes or suffixes or modifying some letters in the original words.

Derivation in the Arabic language is characterized by complexity and precision, as there are many rules and patterns that must be followed to form new words. The process of derivation relies on understanding the roots and origins and how they evolve and are used in different contexts.

The characteristics of derivation in the Arabic language include a wide range of rules and patterns, including verb derivation, noun derivation, sentence derivation, and others. Understanding these characteristics is essential for understanding the Arabic language and using it correctly and effectively.

In general, it can be said that derivation in the Arabic language contributes to enriching and diversifying the language, and helps enriching its vocabulary and expressions, which contributes to enhancing our understanding and use of this beautiful and complex language.
