Abstract

Exploring the noble character and acts of service to humanity of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) within the framework of the concept of serving mankind reveals a remarkable dedication to the welfare and betterment of both humans and other creatures. It becomes evident that the Prophet (ﷺ) exerted relentless efforts, toil, compassion, and empathy towards the service and well-being of individuals and communities, surpassing any known benefactor, educator, philanthropist, or humanitarian in history. Every aspect of human welfare and benevolence, every deed of kindness and service, finds exemplification in the actions of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Even if one were to abstain from the conventional or minor acts of service to humanity, the magnitude of the Prophet's legacy remains so colossal that it overshadows all such endeavors. Not only did he advocate and preach service to humanity, but he also practically engaged in it, leaving behind numerous traditions that reinforce the importance of serving others and promoting their welfare. In this short article under review, the sayings and actions of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) regarding the service of mankind have been described so that the readers can be aware of the social dimension of the Prophetic era.
