Introduction, Scholarly Review of "Dalail-al-Nubuwa" (The Book of Seerat) and Imam Bayhaqi's Methodology and Style

Abstract

The word Seerat is generally used to refer to the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), although scholars have suggested several other meanings. Seerat al-Nabi ﷺ is an important tool for the believers to reach the path of guidance and follow it. There is also an important and famous book on this subject, Dalail-al-Nubuwa which is the authorship of Imam Beyhaqi, who holds a high position among the Muhadditheen jurists and biographers. This book is in Arabic language and consists of seven (7) volumes, in which the author has described in great detail all the events, conquests and miracles from the signs before the birth of the Prophet (PBUH) to the death, and all the aspects of Hayat Tayyaba. This book seems to reflect the author's interpretive, rhetorical, hadith, jurisprudential and historical style.

In the research under review, the review and introduction of the said book has been presented and an attempt has been made to clarify the author's style.
