Abstract

This research is aimed at exploring the significance of Paighame Pakistan, under which a national narrative on terrorism has been developed under the supervision of Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University, Islamabad. The article reviews historical document of Paigham e Pakistan with a critical eye and analyzes its future implications. The fact that a majority of popular religious scholars as well as political parties have endorsed it with their signatures, proves that the narrative that has been tried to achieve through this document, will eventually define Pakistan’s character in the future. However, to ensure its workability and full effectiveness, recommendations are discussed in the form of practical steps that should be taken on both national and international level. It also includes a thorough review of the booklet with criticism as needed to equip the reader with necessary background in order to assess the recommendations provided at the end. The research is pivotal in terms of improving both the text and practical implication of Paigham-e-Pakistan. .
