Abstract

Hafiz Alpuri is one of the great pathan poet. He was simultaneously a great scholar, a great Sufi and an expert in Arabic and Persian Languages. He used Urdu and Persian words as well as Arabic words frequently in his poems which is a clear proof of his mastery of Arabic and Persian languages. This article presents a research analysis of Hafiz’s use of Arabic words in his poetry.
