Methodology and style of Al-kashf wa-al bayan-un-tafseer-el-Quran

Abstract

The holy Quran is the beacon and source of guidance for entire humanity. A human’s worldly and heavenly successful achievement depends upon Quran’s understanding and acting upon its orders. The holy prophet Muhammad gave us the beginning of Quran’s understanding through his beautiful methodology. The followers and scholars derived guidelines for interpretations from that beautiful methodology, on which interpretations had been written later on. Some of them are called mother books of interpretations, and one of them is an interpretation الکشف والبیان عن تفسیر القرآن)) which is easy to understand, scholarly and literary along with its superior standard. It also covers all interpretational sciences and debates. 

In my perspective, there are some things which need to be done. It is necessary to do a detailed review of how this interpretation impacted on other interpretations followed by it and how other authors coming after Saalbi got benefit from his interpretational methodology. There is need to highlight the jurispudential insight of Imaam saalbi at research level.

Through this article we will get to know, what were the steps, methodology and sources Imam Saalbi used to write such a great book which became one of the assets of Muslims for guidance to right path. We will also have a short introduction about the author of that interpretation (الکشف والبیان عن تفسیر القرآن).
