Abstract

Umar Bahauddin Al Amiri was a Syrian poet and a diplomat from the city of Aleppo, was a member of Muslim brotherhood and a sufi. He served as ambassador of Syria in Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudia Arabia. His poetry was characterized for its emotions, nature, beauty, freedom, love, happiness and religion. The poetry of the Amiri is in its essence based on the multiple spiritual values ​​through which a person seeks perfection and majesty, and seeks emotional stability, mental clarity, beauty of the building and meaning in his life. It is known that poetry is one of the most important arts which talk about  virtues and it is who seduces souls with it. The most important work of poetry is to create spiritual response in the recipient through different experiences, imaginations and artistic influences. In this study, we tried to understand poetry of Amiri and those high spiritual values and why he brought them to his poetry and what is reason behind his preaching of those values through his poetry.
