The Style of Taqi Usmani in the Explanation of Economic Problems and Matters in Taqreer-e-Tirmizi

Abstract

“The character, sayings, actions and habits of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) have been protected by his followers, Sahaba and different Muhaddith Imams in the form of many collections with justified certificates. One of these collections is Jamia Tirmizi which is considered to be a very valuable collection of hadiths. There have been written many explanations of Jamia Tirmizi, out of which, Taqreer-e-Tirmizi by Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani is a comprehensive and famous explanation. In this book, there have been mentioned many sharia commandments about economic problems and matters like banking, interest, sale, insurance, and lucky draw. Similarly, there have been addressed the difference between the allowed and forbidden things in Islam and mentioned many methods to improve the economic and social systems. This study provides a brief picture of the procedures and styles adopted by Taqreer-e-Tirmizi that enlightens the influence of Islamic rules and regulations in the modern era.”
