Abstract

The Kabah is the fountainhead of the radiance, revelations, bounties and favours of Allah Almighty and the cause and reference point for the spiritual and religious successfulness, and directive of all humanity on earth, which establishes the relationship between the Lord and His servants on a vigorous foundation. The centrality of the Kabah has always been prominent in the teachings, values and symbols of Muslims. In view of this significance, Allah Almighty has highlighted some historical characteristics of this consecrated place in the Holy Qur'an. In the research under discussion, an evolutionary appraisal of fifty-three such tragedies, that came about in Baitullah Sharif and its surrounding sacred places owing to natural disasters (floods and typhoons) after the Prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him), has been presented from the year of Hijri. In all these situations, through the perspective of deep study of Khana Kabah’s ups and downs and findings of those adversities, it revealed that Muslims not only continued to uphold their extraordinary feelings and allegiance to the House of Allah throughout that toughest periods, but these events and calamities further strengthened the faith bond of the devoted People of Islam with the House of Kabah.
