Curriculum of Religious schools of Pakistan in the perspective of Islam and modern era
Abstract
In this modern era there is an ongoing debate about the curriculum of religious schools, and there are different School of thoughts giving their arguments with different intentions.
According to some Scholars, Madarsa system is completely outdated in this modern era and we have to change it from its core. According to some scholars , it is still relevant but we have to change the curriculum in a way which will become more suitable for modern day mind. According to some scholars , it is still relevant but some modifications are required to make it more relevant. According to some scholars , we should proceed with it as in it's present form which is continuing from past centuries.
In this article we are trying to analyze all of the above mentioned statements, and we will study their arguments in detail and examine the level and standard of their criticism. We will also give an overview of Madarsa system, it's evolution throughout the centuries, it's Importance in current state and modifications which are required to improve it. This article speaks about the current position of Madarsa system, it's contribution's for the society and it's relevance with modern educational system.
