Abstract

Ten years have passed since the Syrian crisis, but the problem is becoming more complicated and intractable with time. It has now taken such a form that the welfare of the people and the refugees is not considered anywhere in the global and local development. It has become a global game in political tussle and a hotbed of local rivalries. Among the other effects that the Syrian civil war has had, a prominent one is that it has created religious differences between different sections of the Muslim Ummah. has escalated and armed sectarian tensions have increased. Why have these sectarian differences become so intense and what can be resolved? This has been discussed in the article under review. Keeping the historical importance and effects of Syria's past and present in front, it becomes very important to research the sectarian and religious differences and conflicts arising from the current crisis.
