Al Hamd in the Quranic Text

Abstract

Hamd Is an Arabic word that means , "praise" in English. It is a word that exclusively praises Almighty - whether written or spoken.The word "Hamd" comes from the Qur'an, and الحَمْد لله is the epithet or locution which, after the Bismillah, establishes the first verse of the first chapter of the Qur'an - al Fatiha Mubarak (the opening). The purpose of this research is to analyze the word Hamd in the Quranic text.. The method used in this research is descriptive, analytical and qualitative. At the end, finding and conclusion are drawn.
