Abstract

In this research, an important word denomination that is prevalent in society which is heard and read as well as used by us in our everyday lives. It is explained here comprehensively with all its aspects. For example, what is its correct definition? When, where and in which sense it is used in Quran and Sunnah? What are the different factors behind the fostering of various Islamic denominations? This paper encompasses these and some other untouched questions revolving around this topic which are explicated in the light of Quran, Sunnah, sayings and lifestyles of the companions of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) along with various other reliable arguments. Also, this paper explores the correct procedure and style of research about these denominations. The implications of this paper will not only be able to answer the above mentioned important questions and any other issues arising in his mind related to the topic, but it will also help him to deal effectively with these denominations.
