Abstract

Hazrat Abu Wayel, may Allah have mercy on him, was a person of good character, his name is Shafiq bin Salama Asadi, and he was from Bani Malik bin Malik, bin Thaalbah, bin Wadan, bin Asad bin  Khazaimah.Amr bin Wayel was asked whether he met the Prophet of Allah. He said yes I was a very small child at that time. When Abu Wail died, Abu Burda kissed his forehead. He died in the period of Hujaj. he narrated from Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Umar, Hazrat Abdullah bin Masoud, Hazrat Osama bin Zayd, Hazrat Huzaifah, Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari, and Hazrat Ibn Abbas Razi Allahu Anhum. Academically, Abu Wail was one of the prominent scholars of Kufa. His heart was dominated by the fear of Allah to such an extent that when he was reminded and feared, tears would flow from his eyes. Such great personalities are rarely born on earth۔ Never wore silk clothes and never ate fine dishes. Hazrat Abu Wayel believed that the comforts of this world are for the unbelievers, and the Muslims, the hereafter is real life. The hadiths of Hazrat Abdullah bin Masoud were more preserved in his memory with the characteristic, no one memorized his hadiths in Kufa better than him. Because of his moral and spiritual perfection, people considered him as a source of mercy and blessing for them.
