The Style and Manner of Hafiz Ibn Hajr Asqalani, Allama Al- Aaini and Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi in the interpretation of Bukhari (A Comparative Study)

Abstract

Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail al-Bukhari, who passed away in 256 AH, compiled a collection of Sahih Asnaads (authentic chains of narration) of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him), titled "Al-Jami' Al- Sahih .This book holds significant importance within the Muslim community, and many scholars have written interpretations of it,It is said "The ink pretation of The "Sahih Bukhari" is a debt on the whole Ummah ". This debt was paid appropsiattely from the different schoation of Islamic jurisprudence.Hafiz Ibn-e-Hajar Asqalani represented the Shafiyyah school, Allama Aini represented the Hanafi school and in the present age, Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi from Hanfia school contributed significantly to fulfill this debt with great grace.In this research paper, the focus is on four interpretations of Sahih Bukhari: namely,Fath al-Bari Sharh Sahih Al-Bukhari by Ibn-e-Hajar al-Asqalani,Umdat al-Qari Sharh Sahih Al-Bukhari by Allama Aini, and Nimat-ul-Bari/Niam-ul-Bari Sharh Sahih Al-Bukhari by Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi.Each commentary serves a unique purpose Hafiz Ibn-e-Hajar Asqalani focuses on the benefits and points of Hadith, Allama Aini's concentrats on dictionary knowledge, meanings, Bayan, and Badi. But, Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi's commentary stands out for its comprehensive approach, incorporating special and general references and countless features and in beneficial to a scholor or a result, whether one is a scholar or a layman alike.
