Abstract

The Prophets and Messengers (Peace Be Upon them) were supported with supernatural favours by Allah, namely Mu’ajizah (Miracle) that means an action or deed which is beyond the ability and power of human beings and differs from the law of nature in this universe. In the Islamic terminology Mu’ajazah (Miracle) means an act which people are unable to do, but Allah performs it at the hand of a Prophet to prove his Prophethood. At times people would reject the veracity of a Prophet and would not believe until they witnessed a tangible Miracle. So in light of this Allah send his Prophets and Messengers with Mu’ajazah (Miracles).

In the four Gospels record miracles that Jesus worked when he was on the earth. He healed leprosy, blindness and many other disease. So in this way we can say that in four Gospels these are stories in which Jesus in the object of a Miracle.

According to the Quran the birth of Prophet Jesus was a Miracle. The Quran has mentioned to us that Jesus was like all Prophets and Messengers sent by Allah.

This article will explore a comparative study of the Miracles mentioned in the four Gospels and in the Holy Quran. Prophet Jesus was aided with miracles. He even, by the will of Allah, brought the dead back to life.
