A Historical Study of the Biographies of Famous Muslim Urdu Poets

Abstract

Urdu have big reserve of intellectual especially in poetic form and this article is an analytical study about the Urdu poets of twentieth of the century which are in the large numbers. This study explores the remarkable and major poets due to their poetical work in 20th century which made them evergreen in history. Among these Josh, Hafeez, Rashid, Majeed Amjad, Akhtar Sherani, Meera Gee, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Nasir Kazmi, Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi and many others are considered the most well-known in this century. They tried to construct Urdu poetry with new Ideas and flourished in the society. This paper is a study to analyze the biographies and work of the famous poets with the sample of their poetry how they worked for the promotion of Urdu poetry and earned name in this ocean.
