Abstract

As Muslims believe that justice is the main concern of Islam, it is necessary that people should get justice in this world and the hereafter. So, to believe in the Doomsday is the fundamental part of their faith.  The Holy Quran emphasis that the present life is only a trial case for the humans. And on the basis of this life, their deeds( good and bad) would be judged in the next world.To encourage the piety and to eliminate the vices from society , the lord has fixed a day after this worldly life where He  would reward the pious people and punish the transgressors. The holy Quran has mentioned various names and attributes of Hell to inculcate the fear of Hell in the mind of evil doer. Allah Almighty has mentioned seven stages of Hell for different infidel groups. This article addresses different names and attributes of Hell semantically.
